The Fanciful Gym: Lettuce Cakes, Walking Pools, And Dance Floors

The Fanciful Gym: Lettuce Cakes, Walking Pools, And Dance Floors

What you are about to hear, is not convenient, it is not meant for profit, it is meant for keeping your members healthy and happy.

But what a gym really needs is a meal replacement restaurant, that serves lettuce based meals for large people who have apetite.

These are not salads, they are vegetable cakes, overflowing with delicious dressing, nuts, berries, meat bits.

The aim, really is replacing a meal, delicious, prepared, low-calorie, it would save lives.

Getting your insanely delicious, daily food ration from the gym, is the correct service to offer.

While this is a non-food-smell producing operation, the customer has an hour to wait, and delivery is possible.

This is a make-on-demand style business, and to make it clear will fail if it is priced medium-to-high.

It is really about grabbing about a gigantic salad or two, on the way out.

Even less convenient is my solution to help the elderly build muscle, and the first point of convenience is helping them not you.

We have all seen people working out in incredibly dangerous sweat suits, what I am proposing is the reverse, solely for the convenience of the elderly.

An inexpensive wet suit, self sealing, purchased at the front desk, and a track filled with water they can make their way through.

Basically it is walking in water, without getting wet, the joy of cold water, some leg weights, and powerful exercise.

This helps people move, it is like sitting, but it builds muscle.

Fighting to move against water, with people slowly moving behind you, will make people muscular, without trying.

This is not a pool, it is a narrow channel for walking in water, without getting wet.

Though too outlandish for many gyms, it is illustrative of what the elderly need to put on muscle.

Last item is very down to earth, and it is about the elimination of rubber mats, it is not possible to work out on a rubber mat, because shoes need to slide.

Frequent workouts are just not possible without a dance floor like surface, it is very painful, it is very unfair.

A real workout is a full body workout, with non-stop standing dumbbell exercises, and that means dancing.

Cheaper less reliable alternative, is a dance shoe sticker, commonly used on dance floors to decrease fricion.

I make mine out of thin sheets of vegetable cutting board, it is a high density smooth scratch resistant plastic.

This is just as challenging as a waking pool, or lettuce cake store, though wooden dance floors will get damaged from dumbbells.

Replacing them monthly, or using rubber coated dumbbells, could actually work.

I want to make this clear, you can’t work out without dancing, and dancing on rubber hurts your feet after just 2 consecutive days.

In closing I just mention that fitness requires an automated trainer, that slowly increases how long to workout and how much to lift.

My gym had a fake street crossing light once, having them in series, numbered lev 0 to level 5.

Making the lamps blink progressively longer duration, could work for some.

As you can see, today, these are great ideas, that nobody is ready for.

But, should advancements in medicine, considerably extend our lives, I believe things will change indeed.
